The Scarlet jacket is hand-woven from cotton. It is then hand-embroidered using an applique technique with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, then re-embroidered using the Kantha technique, a familiar practice where women reuse their old saris to sew blankets. This oversized jacket has a very graphic collar and its quilted finish gives it a contemporary feel.

Manufacturing time

It took 8 hours of embroidery and 22 hours of Kantha work to make just one jacket.

Washing guideline

This cotton piece has been woven, embroidered, and quilted entirely by hand, so it should be taken care of by hand washing in cold water. All types of bleaching are prohibited; we recommend drying flat without spinning and ironing at a low temperature. Do not tumble dry.
