A l’origine de Mii,UN DUO. LUCIE ET BAPAN, C'EST LE YIN ET LE YANG...
7 000 km séparaient nos deux vies : deux géographies, deux cultures, deux langues, deux milieux sociaux, et puis deux tempéraments radicalement différents.
Pourtant on se rencontre à l’Ecole des Arts Décoratifs de Paris en Design Textile. mii s’est créé sur cette rencontre improbable et de l’amour qui en est né.
En 2009, on voyage en Inde. On rencontre beaucoup d’artisans qui nous racontent leurs difficultés économiques... L’éventualité d’un départ vers une autre région ou un autre pays, loin de leur famille, se dessine. Nous, on croit en la valeur du fait-main, du local, et on veut faire changer le cours des choses!
Alors on s’investit, on y met nos 2 têtes, nos 2 cœurs, nos 2 x 2 mains.
mii pour Made In India! On veut défendre et promouvoir ces savoir-faire uniques, ancestraux et en danger d’extinction.
10 ans plus tard… C’est toute une équipe qui nous a rejoint, en Inde comme en France entre la Bretagne, Paris et le Bengale. Nous partageons le goût du beau, du bien et le besoin de donner du sens à ce que nous faisons.

Our story
At the origin of Mii, A DUO. LUCIE AND BAPAN, IT'S THE YIN AND THE YANG...
7,000 km separated our two lives: two geographies, two cultures, two languages, two social backgrounds, and then two radically different temperaments.
However, we meet at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris in Textile Design. mii was created on this improbable meeting and the love that was born from it.
In 2009, we travel to India. We meet many artisans who tell us about their economic difficulties... The possibility of leaving for another region or another country, far from their family, looms. We believe in the value of hand-made, local, and we want to change the course of things!
So we get involved, we put our 2 heads, our 2 hearts, our 2 x 2 hands into it.
mii for Made In India! We want to defend and promote these unique, ancestral and endangered know-hows.
10 years later… A whole team has joined us, in India as well as in France between Brittany, Paris and Bengal. We share a taste for beauty, goodness and the need to give meaning to what we do.
