The Scarlet jacket is hand-woven from cotton. It is then hand-embroidered using the Kantha technique, a familiar practice in which women reuse their old saris to sew blankets. This oversized jacket has a very graphic collar and its quilted finish gives it a contemporary spirit. The weave of our jacket is a typical Indian madras, reminiscent of lungis, India's most emblematic garment. In the spirit of toiles de Jouy, we've added hand embroidery representing a bucolic field of flowers. It's a lovely blend of our two cultures: France and India. A combination of two of our craftsmen's skills to dress up your wardrobe.
